In the next 3-5 years, the following emerging trends will drive fundamental shift in focus on Intelligence in Enterprise Software. Firstly, consumers are increasingly relying on intelligence provided by software e.g. Google Maps, Google Search, Facebook Newsfeed. Secondly, consumerization of IT is enabling organizations to leverage cloud-based softwares for improving employee productivity and is driving adoption of services like Gmail, Dropbox, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems for Sales, Applicant Tracking Systems ATS for recruiting etc. for all employees within organizations. Thirdly, driven by proven effectiveness of intelligence in consumer softwares, employees in organizations are increasingly demanding smarter enterprise solutions to do their jobs more effectively. This fundamental shift of cloud-based Enterprise Software is generating vast quantities of enterprise data that we have just started to tap for intelligence. Our goal with this workshop is to bring awareness within research community of the phenomenally large enterprise intelligence market underserved by technology even today. Enterprise data offers unique technology challenges that don’t generally get discussed enough within the traditional consumer context. Uncovering newer insights and learning best practices of successful employees through advanced Data Mining algorithms on enterprise data is a huge untapped opportunity. These insights and best practices can be responsibly leveraged to help the world’s 750 million knowledge working professionals become more productive and successful.
